Alessandro Portelli
Alessandro Portelli taught Anglo-American Literature at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". He is an Italian music critic, blogger and anglist. His studies focus on oral history, a subject on which he has published books that have also been translated abroad and won the "Viareggio Prize" in 1999. A scholar of Italian and American popular culture and traditions, he has animated the 'Ernesto De Martino' Institute, taking care of several recordings for I Dischi del Sole. Protagonist with Giovanna Marini and the Canzoniere del Lazio of the Italian folk season of the seventies, in the second part of his career he also dealt with theater, collaborating with actors and directors of the Roman scene
