Talking about the comic and its various expressions is equivalent to talking about the man himself. The direct and personal analysis of the philosopher  starts from a simple and essential question: why do we laugh? How to understand the universal and  indispensable nature of laughter for all human beings? Talking about the comic in relation to life means giving voice to its contradictions, to its  amazing and unique vocation to mix the miserable and the sublime, the se- rious and the facetious,  the sensible and the senseless, the profound and the ephemeral. A need for innovation and  contestation, a gesture of liberation and will to live.
