The most complete journey to the Bible, from the legendary story of the Genesis to the Acts of the Apostles. The work follows the biblical text, displays it with archaeological images, landscapes, monuments and an endearing cartography. The most appreciated atlas of the Bible is the result of the research of the famous biblicist Enrico Galbiati, transformed into a historical atlas for the general public, in an edition directed by Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi. Each chapter contains precise biblical passages related to the cartography of the chapter itself. The story breaks from time to time to give space to historical chapters that contextualize the events narrated by the Bible with the events of the peoples of the Middle East. Other tables have a literary and cultural nature, in which the biblical story is compared to the expressions of the cultures and literature that surround Israel (Enuma Elish, Gilgamesh, etc.). The reader can thus fully understand the difference between a card and a site corresponding to the Bible story, and a site analyzed with the criteria of archeology and anthropology.
