The history of the animals is the great adventure of the living creatures on earth, those preceding humans (now become fossils) and those living together with man nowadays across the five continents. In six volumes the director of the African zoo of Entebbe, Uganda, narrates a canadian boy visiting the zoo the history of various animals. These stories in comics focus, for each title, on 7 main characters belonging to different species. The series follows the classification of the animal kingdom: first the Mammals, then the first 4 classes of the Vertrebates: Birds, Reptiles, Amphibians and Fish. It is a backward history: from the more evolved creatures to the primordial ones. The last volume presents the Insects, the most fascinating Invertebrates; now they are so tiny, once were much bigger and even dominated the Earth. In each volume the seven short stories in comics are followed by an educational section, providing full data in an enjoyable though precise way.

1. Mammals - 2. Birds - 3. Reptiles - 4. Amphibians - 5. Fish - 6. Insects
